Eligibility & Membership
Eligibility & Membership Requirements:
Membership in the club shall be open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Active private business ownership; or Previously owned and sold a successful private business.
Appreciation of whiskey and other fine spirits.
Passion for personal and business growth, mentorship, and accountability.
Nomination and selection by current members for exclusive invitation.
Commitment to host up to 2 meetings per calendar year.
Commitment to meet monthly and actively contribute on the final Friday of each month.**
Business Ownership: Prospective members must be the owner or co-owner of a privately operated business; or Previously owned or co-owned and sold a successful private business.
Whiskey Appreciation: Prospective members must demonstrate an appreciation for whisky. This may be done through completion of a whiskey education course or by providing evidence or description of participation in whisky-related events or collections, i.e. tasting events, distillery tours, etc.
Hosting Meetings: Prospective members must be willing to host at least 2 meetings per calendar year at their place of business, residence, or other private space. The host will supply the featured spirit and be responsible for education of chosen brand, bottle, distillation and finishing method, age, and proof along with suggestions on taste profile.
Compliance: All members must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations and bylaws as set out by the club.
Dues: Dues will be established by the Executive Committee, and must be paid by all members before the start of each calendar year.***
Termination of Membership: Membership may be terminated by the Executive Committee at once for failure to comply with these bylaws or for any other cause deemed by the Executive Committee to be detrimental to the club and the good standing of the club's reputation within the community.
* Does not include multi-level marketing, no value added services, or any restricted or unregulated businesses.
** Exceptions for certain circumstances are on a case by case basis.
*** Nominal dues will be collected and used for society events and materials as voted on by the executive committee.
